The Lister is a 730-bed district general hospital in Stevenage. It offers general and specialist hospital services for people across much of Hertfordshire and south Bedfordshire and provides a full range of medical and surgical specialties.
Elective work is undertaken in the treatment centre (purple zone) next door to the main hospital. It can be accessed through a connecting corridor on Level 2, or externally through its main entrance, at the front of the TC.
We would like to welcome you to a growing Trauma and Orthopaedics department and we are confident that you will use your time with us to develop as surgeons, clinicians and also personally. We are proud to provide a supportive environment for everyone to develop in, regardless of their level in training.
Please note, that you will all be allocated one of our three Academic Educational Supervisors (Mr Deol, Mr de Roeck or Mr Rumian) and also one or more Clinical Supervisor. Furthermore, Mr Assiotis is the responsible consultant for middle grade training and well-being and operates an ‘open-door’ policy for any issues/concerns that you may have.
