Lipmann-Kessel Annual Prize Day and Dinner

As mentioned, Lipmann-Kessel Prize Day will take place on Friday 9th December at the brand new Imperial MSK Lab, followed by a dinner at Hilton London Kensington.

This is a mandatory part of the core curriculum programme and is an all day event so we expect many to attend. We normally have a large number of consultants attending the event and dinner, and I would be most grateful if you could encourage your bosses to come as this often makes for a great social occasion.

Please can everyone sign up for the event +/- dinner using the following link. Please also distribute this link to your consultants:

Abstract submission for LK 2022:

We would like all trainees to submit their research/audit/QIP work in abstract form to be considered for presentation at this year’s Lipmann-Kessel meeting.

This is a great opportunity for everyone to present their ongoing projects and gain some constructive feedback. There will be two separate sessions for presentation with a separate one for academic trainees to present their research, to level the playing field. As always, there will be a prize for the best presented abstract in the meeting which will be awarded on the day.

From your submissions, six abstracts will be chosen to give an oral presentation of five minutes, to be judged by an expert panel including Professor Cobb, who will select the winner.

Abstracts should be no more than 300 words using the usual headings (title, introduction, methods, results, conclusion) and with no tables or figures.

Submitted work can be from any institution, ideally conducted whilst a trainee on the rotation. ST3s are invited to submit work from core training if they wish.

Please email abstract submissions to

nwtcorecurriculum@gmail.com with subject heading “LK abstract”

Deadline for submissions: Friday 25th November

Regards

LK Team 2022
